Douglas and Winifred Fraser Chrysler Workers Endowed
The Douglas and Winifred Fraser Chrysler Workers Endowed Scholarship was established in 1980 by Douglas Fraser, Chrysler Corporation and the UAW. To be eligible, students must be accepted for full- or part-time study at Wayne State University. Candidates must be, or have been within twelve months immediately preceding commencement of studies, an employee of the Chrysler Corporation and a member in good standing of the UAW for at least five years prior to the commencement of his or her studies, OR be a retired Chrysler employee with at least five years of service and UAW membership pursuant to the terms of a UAW-negotiated Corporation retirement plan or program, OR be the child or grandchild, not older than the age of twenty-five, of an employee or retiree. Applicants must demonstrate financial need.
