Below you will find a listing of scholarships available to students through their specific colleges and the Office of Student Financial Aid.

The deadline for all private scholarship applications is March 1, 2020 including all additional documents and reference letters that may be requested. Please keep in mind that the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is required to be received by Wayne State prior to March 1, 2020 for any opportunity that requires the student demonstrate “financial need”.

Need-based financial aid may be adjusted if you subsequently receive additional aid (scholarships, grants or loans). Private scholarship awards may reduce other WSU scholarships, grants, loan eligibility or other aid.

Each scholarship is categorized by the department or college offering the award. Students completing both the general and conditional applications will be auto-matched to multiple scholarship opportunities based on their scholarship profile. Students are not notified of auto-matched scholarships. However, students are notified that there are additional recommended opportunities, labeled as “apply to” scholarships. This group of scholarships requires additional information i.e. proof of employment, essays, transcripts, etc. Submitting documentation for “apply to” scholarships can increase the number of scholarships each student is consider for during a given aid year.
